Skateboarding has been linked with street fashion since the emergence of the Southern California skating lifestyle. Even before the world-famous Z Boys personified aggro west coast style, the original sidewalk surfers were repping brands like Hobie and Vans in Malibu and West LA,  helping to create the next wave of California youth culture– a culture which eventually went global and launched hundreds of brands, including some of today’s best known. Today’s skaters in Los Angeles are still at the forefront of street style, from Fairfax to Echo Park to Venice Beach. The peerless Reserve Result presents a look into what’s happening on the streets right now with this series, The Skatorialist.
