Give Blood, Get Tacos
Del Taco of Barstow is donating two tacos to all comers who donate blood. Giving blood is great, if they could get Tacos el Korita to donate tacos, I'd be walking around light-headed for a week.

Men Go For Tacos, End up in Gun Battle
In a bizarre scene out of a Tarantino movie (or present-day border Mexico, where it actually took place) a couple of Texan fishermen walked into the wrong taqueira, where they were mistaken for drug runners and held by a gang for hours. From the article: The four men entered the cantina at around 7:30 p.m. They didn't leave until roughly eight hours later. In the meantime they were robbed, beaten, kicked and antagonized by men with guns and knives in a spooky series of events that culminated in a bloody gun battle that left as many as seven people dead. The best part about this story is that it's part of the "out and about" column.

Foodie Universe Likes Tacos Por Favor
They give them a great review and include some choice pictures of some great looking tacos. Ace taco hound Bandini pops up in the comments to remind people about TPF's wonderful Chorizo and Cheese tacos. The last two times I tried to get me one of those, I failed, once they were out, and the last time I ordered one, they 'forgot' to put it in my to-go bag. Do you have to know someone at Por Favor to get the magical Chorizo tacos?

Tacos Angelica @ The Taco Hunt
Speaking of Bandini, he finally got a chance to hit Angelica, which is the elusive truck our own Juan Terrycloth reviewed a little while ago. It got a solid 3 tacos, which sounds about right. He also hates Rubios, giving them a fairly generous 1.5 tacos.

Palisades Taquero Sued By Ralphs Returns To Feed First Responders

Gracias Señor's customers in Pacific Palisades were 70% locals, including many students from the local high school that burned down. On the day the fire started, taquero Rudy Barrientos barely made it out in time to not have to abandon his popular food truck. Through World Central Kitchen, he's been serving the first responders who are working the graveyard shift breakfast burritos. As for the future, he doesn't know where he will set up next.
