[dropcap size=big]W[/dropcap]hile fans went absolutely wild outside the Staples Center, the East Los Angeles chapter of Laker nation took to the historic Whittier Boulevard to celebrate their beloved city's basketball team. Just as they did in the last Lakers championship run from 2009 to 2010, loyal Laker fans from East L.A. and its surrounding communities set off fireworks, cheered, honked, did donuts, and cruised the boulevard in celebration. Starting at Atlantic Boulevard and and ending at the Arch near Arizona Street, Whittier Boulevard was the place if you were celebrating east of the Los Angeles River.
