The story of how the Canter's Deli food truck got its snazzy look is pretty interesting. AIGA LA drops the story today that a graphic designer named Michael Doret created a font, deliscript, based on the iconic Canter's Deli sign. Bonnie Bloomgarden, the great-granddaughter of Canter’s founder Ben Canter was so impressed with the font, she hired Michael to design, from the ground up, the brand new Canter's Truck. He calls it Life imitating life... imitating art.
