Angeleno Profiles: Neighbors Hold Their Recyclables for Doña Julia, a Mid-City ‘Angel’

[dropcap size=big]I[/dropcap]n this new addition to the "Angeleno Profiles" series, showcases the stories of Angelenos here in Los Angeles, you'll meet us Doña Julia, a Guatemalan immigrant who has lived in the United States for 32 years. She's spent 17 of those years spent collecting bottles and cans in Mid-City in order to support her family back home. Doña Julia has not returned to Guatemala.

This film is by Dilan Garcia, Ryan Murphy, and Robert Penna. Dilan's past work touches on a variety of subjects including DACA, can be found here.
