Tune of the Day: The Tracks – “Hanging On”

We brought you the incredible origin story of East Los Angeles rock band The Tracks last year, and since then the band's been playing shows, writing songs, and catching the ears of music fans from Boyle Heights to London. Frontman Venancio Bermudez, bassist Felipe Contreras, drummer Jimmy Conde, and guitarist Johnny Santana continue to hone their sound, drawing on their influences in both Chicano and indie rock. The band has also been recording their debut album-- today's tune is the second single from that forthcoming record. Hanging On is the band's anthem celebrating perseverance, of staying strong (or at least staying alive) during hard times, whether they be external or self-inflicted.

The Tracks' debut album is set to appear in 2018 and was produced by Lewis Pesacov (Best Coast, Fidlar, Guards). You can stream Hanging On using the links below, or click above to listen on YouTube.
