The L.A. Taco Horoscope for February 2019

[dropcap size=big]F[/dropcap]ebruary brings a special Valentine, Angels, in the form of a Winter Circle (February 14th).  This ring of stars includes part of romantic Taurus, so feel the love from above.  Pisces Season kicks off mid-month when the Sun enters that constellation on the 18th, triggering a citywide daydream. This headspace is great for creativity. On the 22nd, the biggest supermoon of the year sidles up to Leo’s bright heart, the star-system Regulus. It will be visible in L.A. skies. This position rewards extroverts, so repeat after me, kids: "Shameless Self Promotion." Read below for specifics. And if you know your ascendant, read that too.

Aries (March 21 – April 20)

Your ruling planet Mars has ants in his pants, Ram, and he is stirring up trouble across the zodiac.  The upside is that you will not have a boring month. Check your frustrations on the 10th when Mars aligns with the Moon in your House of Self-Sabotage. Lay low and don’t send that email, and all should be good in the celestial hood. Hide your wallet on the 13th when busy meets impulsive in a Mars-Uranus alignment – your constellation hosts. This pairing is associated with expensive purchases, such as sportscars. The Sun enters Pisces on the 18th, again in your House of Self-Sabotage. Protect yourself from yourself with some clear quartz.  Or get a finger tattoo that says, “Don’t do it.” Pisces season sends everybody into a dream world. Dream lucidly, and crystallize your goals. Just don’t act on them until March.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21)

The Bull gets a stellar Valentine this month when the Moon lands in the Winter Circle – a big ring formed by adjacent stars, including some from your constellation –on the 14th. The phenomenon will be visible in L.A. Check it out. This position attracts wealth, luckily for you and your expensive tastes. On the 18th your ruling Venus aligns with Saturn in your House of Transformation. This pairing supports artistic talent, especially musical talent, so if you dream of putting your work out there now is the time. On the 18th the Sun lands in your Community Sector. You are rich in friends. Don’t take this blessing lightly. The Supermoon in Leo on the 22nd rewards extroverts. For Taurus, these rewards manifests in the workplace. Don’t be shy, Bull. Let your talents show. We all know that you are hardworking – but this month we see the creative side of Taurans too.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)

Two pennies for your thoughts, Twins? February brings introspection, especially about career choices when the Sun enters your Professional House on the 18th. Pisces hosts, so expect some daydreaming.  Your real ambitions show when you shine a flashlight into the dark corners of your feelings about work. Where are you satisfied? Where are you frustrated? On the 19th, your ruling Mercury aligns with Neptune in your Spirituality House, triggering more soul searching. What do you really want to do with your short time on this planet? On the 25th, Mercury achieves perihelion – its closest distance to the sun – supercharging your Spirituality House yet again. The universe is talking to you this month, twins, so listen up. Let the stars be your life coach.

Cancer (June 22 – July 22)

Baby’s all grown up this month, Cancer. On February 1st, your ruling Moon aligns with serious Saturn, supporting self-discipline. It lands in your Marriage House, by the way, so If you have commitment issues, prepare to work past them.  The New Moon in Capricorn (February 4th) activates your Partnership Sector. Again, this may reflect marriage partners, but business and creative teammates also pop up here. Stick with handworkers to move closer to where you want to be. Valentine’s Day attracts wealth this year when loving Taurus places your Moon in a Winter Circle. Cancer’s wealth will manifest as renewed importance in your community. When the Sun enters Pisces on the 18th, it activates your House of Higher Education. Learn some new tricks, and find your place, Crab.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

How is every month about you, Lion? Drama meets sensitivity this month when your ruling Sun enters sensitive Pisces on the 18th. The entire zodiac absorbs other people’s feelings like a sponge. And the real world will temporarily be replaced with a dream world. It is a good time to create. On February 19th, your constellation hosts the biggest supermoon of the year. That bright star next to the moon is Regulus – the Lion’s heart. Dress dramatically and kill it at karaoke. Your manic Leo’s confidence lasts a few days – Regulus and the Moon align on the 22nd – so paint this pretty town red. Feel clever on the 25th when brainy Mercury gets as close to your Sun as it can. The JPL kids call this position perihelion. Your vivid imagination may turn up some chestnuts that day. But keep your ideas secret. Insights are like mushrooms, they grow in the dark.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Expect to do some shadow work, Virgin. The sun enters your House of Transformation (dreamy Pisces hosts) on the 18th, when you enter a "head in the clouds" period. Leading futurists value daydreaming – they call it idleness – and it is considered integral to creativity. Foster yours by avoiding passive media consumption. Sit on the couch without checking your Instagram. Always the Goddess Mother, you will be extra compassionate toward others this month. On the 19th, your ruling Mercury aligns with Neptune in your Marriage House. Be the Zodiac’s radio, transmitting cosmic love to your nearest and dearest. Expect more insight on the 25th, when Mercury achieves its closest distance to the Sun in your House of Transformation. This position is associated with joint income, so put some energy there and think about your finances from a bigger perspective. Remember that money isn’t a goal; it is a supporter of goals.  Oh, and keep secrets. February’s ideas need privacy to develop.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Heart and head balance the scales this month, Libra.  When your ruling Venus aligns with serious Saturn on the 18th, make grown up decisions that prioritize love. The Sun enters Pisces that same day, invigorating Libra’s partnerships. Show your squad appreciation – the L.A. Taco Yearbook makes a nifty Valentine - and let the dream building begin. Lively up yourself on the 22nd. When the Moon aligns with the Leo’s heart, a.k.a. the lovely star-system Regulus, self-expression is supported. Don’t be afraid of a little flair. On the 25th, brainy Mercury lands in dreamy Pisces, and big ideas abound. Keep them to yourself for a few weeks. They need to simmer to achieve maximum potency.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Get your calm-center going, Scorpion. When your ruling Mars aligns with the Moon in your House of Health, mood drives well-being (February 10th). Frustration will make you sick, so find a healthy way to let of steam. And repeat after me: Good Vibes Only. Mars stays busy, too. When it aligns with impulsive Uranus on the 13th in your Partnership House, you get some funny ideas. Hang with a friend who isn’t as crazy as you, and give them your keys, your phone, and your baby for safekeeping. Health is emphasized again when the Sun enters sensitive Pisces (February 18th). This time the emphasis is on mental health. Like yourself, Pisces is an emotional water sign, so lookout! Apply that energy strategically by consuming art - visit a museum or concert - otherwise, you will overanalyze interpersonal matters.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

The lucky Archer looks as good as he feels this month, Sagittarius. February kicks off with a Moon-Saturn alignment in your constellation. Enjoy an influx of common sense. Logic makes way for dreaming on the 18th, when the Sun enters mystical Pisces. This activates your Creativity Sector, so make messy art and messy love. Transmit good feelings into art, and heal everybody with your good vibes. On the 27th, your ruling Jupiter aligns with the Moon in Ophiuchus – your House of Karmic Debt. That sounds heavy, but actually brings the good mojo from above. Sow more of it by serving others. Spread the love around and it will come back tenfold.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 20)

Let your life reflect your values, Sea-Goat. Your ruling Saturn kicks off February with a lunar alignment in Sagittarius, your House of Subconscious. Expect your deepest held values to bubble up. Are they supported by current choices? A little course correction may be in order. Capricorn hosts the new moon on the 4th, supporting new beginnings. Be selfish now, and have more to offer others later. Saturn is not done with you, either. It aligns with lovely Venus on the 18th, again in your House of Subconscious. Infuse those grown-up decisions you make with a heavy dose of love. After that, dreams replace serious thoughts. The Sun enters Pisces on the 18th, and Home and Family matters benefit from your relaxed, almost checked-out approach. Go with the cosmic flow.

Aquarius (January 21 – February 19)

This February, silence is golden, Water Bearer. On the 13th, your ruling Uranus aligns with Mars in your House of Communication. Your energy will be erratic, and you may not express yourself correctly. Worse, you may say things you don’t mean. The Sun enters Pisces on the 18th, triggering a city-wide daydream. Since this is our usual state in Los Angeles, nobody will notice. But you can’t have dreams come true if you don’t have any. This is a great time of year to get an energy healing: Reiki, sound baths, and float sessions abound in this town. Go get weird. Your constellation hosts a Mercury-Neptune alignment on the 19th. Stay home that day. Introverts channel higher planes and this is a great opportunity for artists to get cool shit started.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Stevie Nicks keeps her visions to herself, Pisces, and so should you. When your constellation hosts the Moon-Mars alignment on the 10th, all fishes can expect major intuition. Remember not to act on psychic messages, even if you want to. Such actions can backfire. On the 18th the Sun enters Pisces – thank Goddess – triggering a season of supported daydreaming. Your head in the clouds approach to life is working for you, much to the consternation of more logical signs (I’m looking at you, Capricorn). Dream. Create. Commune. Be you. This city loves her mystics, and you play a vital role in the fabric of this dream town. When Mercury lands in your constellation on the 25th, it achieves its closest distance to the Sun. The JPL kids call this perihelion. Feel smart and sparkly, applying this energy to your latest creative project.

Ophiuchus (November 29 – December 17)

Back away from the snake, Ophiuchus. Your head is not in the game, and nobody wants you to get bit. Besides, you have important daydreaming to do when the Sun enters Pisces this month (February 18th). This headspace is great for creative projects but it can make you hypersensitive to the vibrations of others. Adopt a technique to shake them off – put a crystal in your pocket or go surfing – but do not bring that negative energy home. Work and health benefit from all that daydreaming. Take your cosmic cues now and be glad later. The Moon aligns with Leo’s heart, the star-system Regulus, on the 22nd. This position enhances status. You will be publicly appreciated. And you deserve it – always busting your butt for others, picking up snakes and whatnot. Feel the love. Your constellation hosts a Moon-Jupiter alignment on the 27th, sending you into March with a boost of self-love. Be generous to Numero Uno, for once.
