Public Works ~ LALA Arts Gallery ~ 1335 Willow St. ~ Los Angeles

This Friday August 3rd LALA Arts Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles is playing host to Public Works, a two part art exhibition by LA Freewalls and MacDonald Media benefitting Art Share LA. Featured artists in this exhibit are How & Nosm, INSA, PUSH, REVOK, RISK, RON ENGLISH, SEEN, Shepard Fairey, Trustocorp, WCA Crew, Uglar Works and Zes. LATACO was invited to see some of the process these artists have put into each large scale 15' x 50' mural. Check out these photos of Uglar Works and WCA Crew at work.

DAILY MEMO: Border Patrol Has Left Los Angeles, ICE Carries On Taking Around 25 People This Week

The Harbor Area Peace Patrollers, who for 8 months stood watch every single morning outside of Terminal Island, today confirmed that ICE and CBP have demobilized from the Coast Guard base. While we’ve seen a decrease in activity with Border Patrol gone, around 25 people were still taken between Monday and Friday from Home Depots, cars, courthouses, and mostly targeted attacks.
