From Arizona to Los Angeles, visual artist Noelle Martinez had her first solo show here in the city of Rosemead at Rose City Pizza. LA TACO met Noelle during the Pow Wow Long Beach event as a volunteer helping artist helping to create murals throughout the week. It is now Noelle's chance to show the people of Los Angeles her creativity and vision.

Halftime: Pop-Up Event ~ DTLA

Halftime_HuferOne (3 of 8)

As we headed in to Halftime, the crowd had already begun to get bigger and spread from inside the gallery out into to the street. The graffiti community was out in force to support one of its constituents. Being consistent and active are terms used in graffiti and Hufer lives by them, always displaying progress either on walls or on canvas. This is yet another step in a direction of a evolving artist whose name on the streets is now matched by his name on gallery walls.

Also make your way to Mumford Brewing and try out some of their craft beer. Cheers!

The Five Best Pescados Zarandeados in Los Angeles

Pescado zarandeado is a grilled, butterflied whole fish marinated in a mix of salt, chiles, citrus, and, in some places, achiote paste.
