Twitter has brought us many wonders, but perhaps chief among them in Los Angeles is the account belonging to a mysterious person who uses the handle @lascanner. LA Scanner monitors police communications and condenses them into 140 character dispatches that somehow manage to combine mordant wit with essential information.
