NEWBODY are a dance music duo featuring producer/dj, Jonathan Roshad (Los Angeles) and singer-songwriter, Roberto Ramone (Detroit). East Van Disco describes them as "Todd Edwards influenced 90s dance" which sounds about right. Even though their music is steeped in the (relatively recent) past of 90's garage and Detroit techno, there's a certain airiness and texture to their beats that could only be made in 2013. The singer/songwriter aspect is also intriguing as most others in their genre are using sampled vocals from 90's r'n'b records. Definitely one to watch on LA's BODY HIGH records.
