Richard Dreyfuss was born in Brooklyn, but came to Los Angeles with his family at age 9. A graduate of Beverly Hills High School, he attended San Fernando Valley State College (now Cal State Northridge), where he was a conscientious objector to the Viet Nam War. An outspoken political activist who champions individual rights, the Academy-Award winning actor has a long and rich history in the city of Los Angeles and loves Mexican food.
