Norberto Rodriguez: Art, Amirite? ~ Opens June 25th

This Saturday night, June 25th from 6-8pm, 2016 Norberto Rodriguez's ART, AMIRITE? opens at Maitland Foley (6130 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles CA.)

Below is a list of upcoming performances that Norberto will be conducting throughout the run of the exhibition, along with information about the show and artist, and some photos of the gallery installation...

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
“Art, Amirite?”; the first exhibition by artist Norberto Rodriguez since his re-emergence on May 31, 2016. Featuring a collection of objects, artifacts and artworks created by the late Bert Rodriguez (1980 – 2016), “Art, Amirite?” explores the memories, knowledge, experiences, and relationships collected by Bert, ending with his inevitable transition back to Norberto, the underlying guide, director and creator of a life as art. “Art, Amirite?” is the first in a series of projects under the name “You See What I Did There?’, a re-contextualization of the entire life of Bert Rodriguez as Norberto’s first public multi-layered, multi-dimensional, conceptual work of art, 40 years in the making.

ABOUT NORBERTO RODRIGUEZ
On May 31, 1980, Norberto created Bert Rodriguez, the late artist and composer who worked with a wide range of media, and genres, including installation, performance, photography, sculpture, film, video, sound, pizza and tenderness. Recently, Norberto shepherded Bert in letting go of all gallery representation in order to explore a new, more immersive, culturally accessible model for how Art is defined, distributed, consumed and appreciated. On May 31, 2016, Norberto, the underlying guide, director and creator of Bert’s life, re-emerged to claim the life he had created as an entire work of art, 40 years in the making.
