NEOPERREO in Los Angeles ~ Thursday Night

Neoperreo is an underground offshoot of reggaeton, throwing out some the genre's conventions but keeping the core rhythms, expanding on the genre in futuristic and unexpected ways. Most people making neoperreo are not Puerto Rican, in fact the heart of the scene is in Chile, where the term was created by Tomasa del Real. Tomasa, along with fellow Chileñas Lizz,and RIP TXNY will headline this underground dance event in the Van Nuys arts district this Thursday Night.
