My Favorite Taco ~ Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa

Mayor Villaraigoso's Favorite Taco

Los Angeles Mayor, Boyle Heights native, and close friend to TACO Tony Villaraigosa spent some time talking Mexican eats with us last week at the 20th birthday of the Anaya family's Silverlake stalwart Cha Cha Cha. In between wrestling LAUSD's myriad disfunctions and Skid Row's 7 circles of Hell, our hardworking stud of a mayor has to eat, too.

So, Mr. Mayor, what is your favorite taco in Los Angeles?

Fun-loving, though never one to take serious matters lightly, Antonio gave this most important question careful consideration while we posed for a couple of 'razzi shots.

"I used to love going to a place called the Taco Room up on Valley Blvd. It's been a while, it might not be there anymore, but I used to love going there."

Good news, Tony! Maria Isabel's Taco Room is right where you left it at 5472 Valley Blvd. in El Sereno. You know us, we're down for tacos anytime. Text us!
