Mix of the Day: DJDS Live in Tijuana

A DJDS show is ecstatic, rhythmic, surprising, trippy and original. You'll find all of that in the live recording of their recent show in Tijuana, of which they say:

Earlier in July we drove down to Tijuana to play a free show at a small club called Wherehouse. Around 3AM we played on the club's open air dance floor for a crowd of what felt like all friends.

It was warm and people danced.

Dance music in the United States is going in a new direction and DJDS from Los Angeles are at the forefront, whether they are playing a huge festival like HARD (this weekend), or a tiny underground club. They celebrate everything that has made house music great since it was invented but still manage to sound like they're doing something new and exciting. Hopefully wherever you are it will be warm and people will dance but you can also sit in a cold room, close your eyes, and imagine.

You can download the mix and see photos and merch etc. here.
