The Night Photography of Jim Lembeck

My photographs are taken late at night, when small amounts of light can be collected to bring things to life, revealing a world that is usually overpowered by darkness. These “light collections” allow me to capture the contemporary world at that moment in time, never to be exactly like that ever again, with emphasis on details, above and beyond the limitations of the human eye.

The subjects are chosen to find the beauty in the everyday things and renew our appreciation for all that is around us. Each Photo is a one frame movie that takes place in the nano-second between what you eye “sees” and how your brain reacts to it. A lifetime of being intimately involved in printing, advertising, marketing, film, writing, consulting and new media projects is evident in each photograph.

I shoot what I see and how I see it, using only available lighting and no photo enhancing techniques. Each photograph is printed on Kodak® Endura metallic photographic paper for a lifetime of enjoyment and limited to 25 issues of each image. www.Lembeckstudios.com
