[dropcap size=big]V[/dropcap]alentine’s Day is just a shadow of February, a bit silly in that it occupies only one day and celebrates only one type of love (romantic) while excluding all the others. This month the zodiac celebrates all the love—between friends, families, even strangers. The New Moon in Aquarius (February 23rd) emphasizes social welfare and supporting your fellow Angelenos. The same constellation hosts a triple alignment (Sun-Mercury-Earth) on the 25th, that inspires solutions to nagging problems. The month ends with a heart-melter. When the Moon aligns with Venus in sappy Pisces (February 27th), the stars make love to the universe. And yes, I stole that last bit from Shakira.

Aries (March 21 – April 20)
Feeling social, Aries? Mercury is exalted (astro-speak for fired up) in your Friendship House on the 10th. Give thanks for your besties and buy a round. Three nights of lunar lunacy commence when Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn take turns aligning with the Moon in your House of Religion (February 18th through 20th). You are at a significant juncture in your human trip. Take stock, be kind, and go forward with gratitude. The New Moon on the 23rd lands in your Friendship House (again). Can you see everybody, even strangers, as your brothers and sisters? Venus adds encouragement, bringing love and joining the Moon your Karma House (February 27th). Reap the love you sow.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21)
Bulls are all about getting the job done, but hang back this month, Taurus and let others do the heavy lifting. February skies support thinking things through. Work smarter, not harder, on the 10th, when clever Mercury exalts your Career House. Expect strategic ideas in the workplace. A New Moon in the same house emphasizes clear thinking. Your ideas will tend toward altruism. The workplace atmosphere will improve for you personally when you put others before yourself. On the 27th, the Moon and Venus align in Pisces, activating your Community House. Feel extra sensitive to other peoples’ vibrations. Help a touchy situation by radiating peace.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)
Get your Trapper Keeper handy, Gemini. February takes you back to school. Your ruling Mercury is exalted in your House of Higher Education (February 10th) bringing with it a profound learning experience. On the 23rd, the New Moon shines in the same house. You aren’t just learning for you. Social welfare is emphasized and you will apply new skills to benefit your community. On the 25th the Sun forms a triple alignment with Mercury and the Earth in the same House. Feel like a smarty-pants and see solutions that are grounded and achievable. The month ends with a kiss from Venus. The planet of love aligns with the Moon in Pisces, aka your Career House, encouraging professional progress (February 27th).

Cancer (June 22 – July 22)
Cancer has another wild month. February starts with drama and ends with sweetness. The Full Moon lands in your Income House on the 8th but the windfall comes with a drama queen alert. Can you be gracious in the face of good fortune? Your ruling Moon is busy mid-month. Three lunar alignments (February 18th - 20th) pair your ruling luminary with Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Expect intense emotional turbulence that gives way to a peaceful heart, when concern for others supplants your self-absorption. A New Moon in Aquarius activates the transformation February 23rd. Theatrics give way to love on the 27th when your Moon aligns with sweet Venus.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)
Find your angle, Lion; the world is your red carpet. The “me show” begins on the 8th when Leo hosts the Full Moon. Dress for drama and do what you have to do. On the 25th, your ruling Sun forms a triple alignment with Mercury and the Earth in your Partnership House. This is great news for creatives. Find your partner-in-fun. The right friend makes work feel like play. The month ends with a Moon/ Venus alignment in your House of Joint Income (February 27th). Can you and your sweetie talk about money without fighting or blaming? Folks get touchy with this lunar position so remember, Kitty; purrs over roars.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
Planets have phases, just like the Moon, and Virgo’s ruling Mercury is in half-phase on the 10th, activating your Marriage House. Feel open-minded and enjoy letting go of rigidity. The New Moon lands in the same house, supporting change (February 23rd). The best thing you can do for your partner is to work on yourself, so take some time for numero uno. Your Marriage House also hosts the triple alignment on the 25th. When the Sun aligns with Mercury and the Earth, creative solutions to relationship problems arise (February 25th). Jump on good ideas and be grateful for the inspiration. The month ends with a big dose of love when Venus aligns with the Moon on the 27th. Feel blessed in matters of the heart. Because you are.

Mid-month your ruling Mars forms the first of three lunar alignments beginning on the 18th (Jupiter and Saturn follow), triggering strong feelings about home and family. The intense emotions pass quickly, and you will make decisions that benefit everybody. A New Moon in Aquarius (February 23rd) supports a new project at work and Scorpio is ready for it. Venus shines her love light at month’s end, aligning with the Moon in your Marriage House (February 27th). “Marriage” can also signify business partnerships. Whatever the relationship, consider it blessed.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
The Archer hosts three nights of lunar alignments that rock and roll the Zodiac. During this period emotions bubble up and ideas crystallize. First up, the Moon and Mars align on the 18th, when idealism presents as temper tantrums. By the next night, lucky Jupiter calms things down and raises humanitarian concerns. Saturn sweeps up on the 20th bringing practicality and a game plan. Live your truth and make a buck. Start new projects on the 23rd with the support of a New Moon in your Home and Family sector. Lighten the vibe of the domicile. Your heart gets a blessing on the 27th when loving Venus snuggles up to the Sun in sentimental Pisces. Lead with love.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 20)
Your ruling Saturn is part of February’s Big Three (three lunar alignments in as many nights, February 18th- 20th). This period may be intense—it takes ideas and turns them into action – and Capricorns feel it in their Karma House. Mars and Jupiter also participate, and all this planetary motion reminds the Sea Goat what he truly values. Be grateful for the insights. A New Moon in Aquarius activates your Income Sector on the 23rd. You were always good with money, but this day is extra lucky for starting your next lucrative project. Close the month with warm vibrations when the moon aligns with loving Venus in Pisces (February 27th).

February ends with a kiss for Aquarians when Venus aligns with the Moon in your Income House (February 27th) bringing love to your bank account. Aquarians don’t always appreciate money – they are suspicious of material wealth - but it is a blessing nonetheless.

Inner-work is still work, Pisces. And February has some tough assignments for you. On the 10th, Mercury is exalted in your Subconscious House.
