Hit n’ Run @ Firecracker ~ Chinatown

1609.jpg

Last week I attended Hit n Run's 'Blockbuster' at the long-running bi-Friday hip-hop jam Firecracker that happens at Quon Brothers Grand Star, a 2-story Jazz Club/Bar in Central Chinatown. Hit N' Run Crew , the brainchild of radical artists Brandy Flower and Mike C., were running things outside beside the beats of a DJ, screenprinting respected, unique images from street artists and innovative designers onto shirts to make one-of-a-kind tees that you help design. If you haven't been to a Hit n' Run jam, it's where it's at, synthesizing art with a fun, hands-on party experience. Tons of people showed up past 11:oo, with all kinds of heads popping up here and there. I met up with Sticky Rick and his wife "ZAN," and which point I realized stickers were being traded left to right. Tons of good vibes, beer, and sticker heads! A++++ to Hit n' Run again for another great party. And thanks to Rick and ZAN for the stickers!!
