The above video dates from 1964 and has nice and clear footage of driving the Sunset Strip at that time. The vintage cars, the billboards, it's all there for your viewing enjoyment.

Sadly, the video lacks a soundtrack which could also be a plus. What song to listen to while you cruise? Here are the top 20 songs from 1964, unsurprisingly dominated by the Beatles:

"I Want to Hold Your Hand" The Beatles
"She Loves You" The Beatles
"Hello, Dolly!" Louis Armstrong
"Oh, Pretty Woman" Roy Orbison
"I Get Around" The Beach Boys
"Everybody Loves Somebody" Dean Martin
"My Guy" Mary Wells
"We'll Sing in the Sunshine" Gale Garnett
"Last Kiss" J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers
"Where Did Our Love Go" The Supremes
"People" Barbra Streisand
"Java" Al Hirt
"A Hard Day's Night" The Beatles
"Love Me Do" The Beatles
"Do Wah Diddy Diddy" Manfred Mann
"Please Please Me" The Beatles
"Dancing in the Street" Martha and the Vandellas
"Little Children" Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas
"Love Me with All Your Heart" Ray Charles Singers
"Under the Boardwalk" The Drifters

L.A. will also have to reimburse the street vendors for their past fines relating to this controversial sign. However, this does not include any other fines related to equipment restrictions or lack of permits. This also means that while a vendor can’t be cited for vending in areas like the Hollywood Walk of Fame anymore, they can still get cited for other city regulations.
