Dock Ellis and the LSD No No ~ LA / San Diego

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dock Ellis was a successful and eccentric major league baseball pitcher. Perhaps his greatest story is the time he pitched a no-hitter that was the culmination of a 2 day acid-trip. The video above combines an interview Dock did with some great original animation.

Dock got sober in his later years, and worked as a drug counselor in Victorville. He died in LA in December 19th, 2008.

LAPD Officer Released on $30,000 Bond Following Arrest For Assault With a Deadly Weapon

A day after the incident the LAPD said in a statement that they were prompted to respond to the 8600 block of Belford Avenue after “a community member generated a radio call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon.” Police later identified the suspect as “off-duty Officer Richard Podkowski.”
