Rose Bowl Flea Market

[dropcap size=big]T[/dropcap]he most famous flea market on the West Coast happens every 2nd Sunday, rain or shine! The Rose Bowl Flea Market is this Sunday. For folks that have never gone, it’s basically a swap meet with record players, artisanal candles, and antiques. You can definitely get some decent deals on furniture here as well. FYI, the food vender between the clothing section and antiques makes pretty good breakfast burritos. Get more details here.

LA Made: Black Angeleno Trailblazer Families

There will be a panel about the cultural and civic impact of African American Angelenos moderated by Tyree Boyd-Pates, curator at the California African American Museum. Historian, Sherwin “Keith” Rice will be providing historical context for the event. This panel comes at the heels of the Los Angeles Public Library digitizing The Liberator, one of L.A.’s earliest African American newspapers. Arianne Edmonds, descendant of the The Liberator’s editor and owner, Jefferson Edmonds will also be joining the discussion. Get more details here.

Mar Vista Art Walk Block Party
