Artisan Craft Fair at Heart of Art Gallery in South L.A. ~ August 22nd

HEART OF ART GALLERY TO HOST ARTISAN CRAFT FAIR AND MARKETPLACE!

Saturday, August 22nd, 2015 2:00PM-8:00PM, FREE all day, all ages event! ALL are welcome! Come check out the awesome selection of hand crafted one of a kind pieces by talented women, trans and LGBTQ artistans and craftmakers.

With a varied selection of goods attendees will be delighted with a selection of baked vegan and gluten free treats, raspados, jewelry, dog toys, blown glass pipes and unique designer clothing! Outside of the gallery will be Record Truck and the LA Public Library's Library Shop on Wheels! LA Condom will also be in the house handing out condoms and talking about the services they provide to the community.

DJ Weaksauce will be spinning tunes throughout the day and live musical entertainment will be provided by Kim Tillman, A Polite Radical and Bear Knowledge.

Inspired By One of Oaxaca’s Best Street Foods, This Taquiza Is Bringing Chicharrón-Topped Suckling Pig Tacos to L.A. (and O.C.)

The pork is marinaded in a secret recipe for ten hours and roasted for four hours until it falls apart. They top it with crumbled chicharrón that they puff up themselves, a habanero salsa, and taquería guacamole. They just started offering an outstanding suadero that is confit in beef tallow, longaniza drippings, and lard until it gently crisps up like a beef version of carnitas.
