Anjelica Huston Channels WET Magazine, Supports “Gourmet Bathing” Social Club in Venice

Page 6 Reports:

Anjelica Huston is planning to turn her Venice, Calif., house, known as “The Fortress” into a private members club, Page Six has exclusively learned. The “Addams Family” star has thrown her weight behind the proposed social club in Venice, which would be housed in the California residence her late husband, sculptor Robert Graham, built for her in 1994. Huston, along with offering the 13,775-square-foot space and 1,000-foot courtyard for $12 million, has accepted a seat on the advisory board. “I bestow my heartfelt support for Venice Social Club Holdings’ intention to create a community gathering space that honors Venice’s unique legacy at 69 Winward Ave.,” she says, according to a proposal being shopped to potential investors. Venice Social Club plans to charge $2,000 a year for membership and will include a farm-to-table restaurant, gallery, screening room and cultural programing. According to the proposal, Venice Social Club’s members’ shared interest is “gourmet bathing,” and explains “gourmet bathing activities will range from surfing, hot-spring excursions, seltzer-water tastings, and dipping in the club’s pool.”

WET Magazine was an influential art magazine in early-80's Los Angeles that was dedicated to the art of "gourmet bathing". If there are any celebrities out there with massive properties that they'd like to dedicate to the "Taco Lifestyle," please get in touch.
