Union of Medical Marijuana Patients ~ CELEBRATE CHANGE Inauguration Event ~ Downtown Los Angeles ~ Tuesday, January 20th

President-Elect Barack Obama’s Inaugural Celebration, A West Coast “Celebration of Change.”

The Union of Medical Marijuana Patients, Arts District Healing Center and Freedom Gallery commemorates the inaugural celebration of President-Elect Barack Obama with a special press conference and fundraising event to promote politicians supporting medical marijuana patients and to promote the Union of Medical Marijuana Patients and California’s First Hemp Festival. Come out and learn what’s happening in the medical marijuana community and which politicians and journalists speak out on behalf of medical marijuana patients.

Time: 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Location: Freedom Gallery - 618 E. 1st Street, Los Angeles CA 90012

Honored Guests include: Dennis Peron (author of California Proposition 215), Paul Koretz (co-author of SB 420), various public officials including LAPD representatives

Come join us for a screening of the historic inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama at The Freedom Gallery. The celebration will begin in the morning with a live indoor screening of the inaugural ceremony and end in the evening with an outdoor replay screening on a thirty-foot screen. There will be a press conference and fundraiser honoring politicians and journalists who speak out on behalf of medical marijuana patients.

Smoking medical marijuana is not allowed at this event. No one under 18 years of age will be admitted. There will be live entertainment and special guest speakers. Catered food will be served.

Agenda:

7 am- 11:30am: Live inauguration indoor screening, coffee and donuts

11:30am-12pm: Meet and greet

12pm: Catered lunch begins

12:15pm: Press conference, announcements, awards for special guests and guest speakers

1pm-3pm: Continued coverage of inauguration and open forum with guests

3pm-6pm: Interaction w/ vendor booths, live art exhibit w/ “Hit and Run” and "2 Rabbits”

6pm Rescreening of inauguration outdoors

The Union of Medical Marijuana Patients (UMMP) is a civil rights organization based in Los Angeles, California. The Union's membership comprises medical marijuana patients and their legally compliant organizations throughout the State of California. UMMP was founded in 2007 to address the shared concerns of patients and their organizations.
