Los Angeles native UNFORTUNATE PORTRAIT insists we refer to him as an "illustrator," not an "artist". Whatever you call him, he has has gained recognition for his unabashedly amateurish portraits capturing the irony of various American lifestyles and subcultures, including ours (above).  With over 1,000 Instagram followers in less than two months, and a nod from BULLET magazine,  the "illustrator" has already started making t-shirts which will be available next week.
