The LA Times reports:
Several residents in the north San Fernando Valley sniffed a strange odor in the air this morning and called 911 to report it, authorities said.
"They didn't describe what it smelled like, fortunately," said Rich Matheney, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“Many people think they have to go out of South Central to enjoy good-quality food, good-quality anything, but with this passport, we hope it makes people realize that they have quality right here in these neighborhoods," co-creator Patricia Amador says.
