The L.A. Taco Horoscope for May, 2018

[dropcap size=big]G[/dropcap]et your Swayze on this month, Angels. Nobody puts Baby in a corner, and the more the haters hate the more you dance through May. You will have a lot to dance about, too. Taurus reaps the rewards of a whole year’s hard work, especially on the 8th when a New Moon makes dreams into reality. Los Angeles is a dream-machine, is it not?  So dream big. Money? Love? Peace at home? You got it. A Jupiter/Moon alignment on the 27th brings luck in love. And for a nice complement to your blooming heart, check out the big Rose Garden at Exposition Park.  A Full Moon on the 27th rewards risk takers, so leap before you look this May, right into the arm of our Great City.

Aries (March 21 – April 20)

The fire sign is fired up this month, Aries, and you will be a Ram of great convictions. On May 6th your ruling planet Mars joins the Moon in your House of Beliefs. This can make you pushy with others. When you find yourself locking horns over philosophical matters, remember; you catch more flies with honey than with head-butts. Continue to keep your impulses in check on the 13th, when erratic Uranus aligns with the Moon in your constellation. Breathe. One bright spot this month - the Tauran New moon (May 15th) shines in your Income Sector, manifesting that hard earned money you’ve been waiting for. Cash in, my fire-tempered friend.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21)

Good News, Taurus. The hard working bull gets a well-earned rest this May, breaking with the ups and downs of recent months. The sun enters your sign on the 14th, bringing with it material security. That practical side of yours will feel relief, especially since this placement is associated with money. Bills to pay? You’ll pay them.  A New Moon on the 15th represents fulfillment of dreams, and I suspect you’ve already noticed some dreams coming true. Don’t get too excited - steady feelings bring a higher purpose down to earth. The action in your corner of the zodiac continues on the 17th when Venus snuggles up with the Moon, again in your sign. This is a great day to go to a concert or museum, as you will get an emotional fix from beauty in all forms: art, music, and other human bodies. Luckily for your sweetie, the bull is loyal in relationships.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)

The twins learn a lot about themselves this month: who they are, what they want, and who their friends are. Two Saturn/Moon alignments (on the 4th and again on the 31st) land in your House of Partnership.  This arrangement can make the twins a tad strict with those around them, so if you can’t take it easy on yourself, at least lay off of those around you. Your ruling planet Mercury aligns with both Uranus and the Moon in your Friendship Quadrant on the 13th, bestowing emotional intelligence regarding your social life. Take a clear-eyed look at your squad. Friends make you feel good, so if hangouts leave you feeling crappy, maybe you need to cull the herd. On the 15th, the Tauran New Moon lands squarely in in your House of Subconscious. This aspect manifests deep wants and goals, so pay attention. This is what you wished for.

Cancer (June 22 – July 22)

The Crab must be tired with such a busy ruling planet. After all, no planet zips around the zodiac quite like your ruling Moon, which spends May collecting cosmic messages. A Neptune/Moon alignment on the 10th (in mystical Aquarius) brings special insight. Any dreams you have that night will be prophetic. Expect additional psychic energy on the 13th with the Uranus/Moon alignment. And on the same day, a Mercury/Moon pairing gives you clarity over your feelings, something you appreciate more than less passionate signs. Happy news comes on the 27th when lucky Jupiter and the Moon play nice in your Creativity Sector. Stay away from bad vibes that day – they make your game lame.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

May is about communication for the Lion, so check your roar at the door. On the 8th, Jupiter hangs at opposition in your Communication Sector. This aspect causes conflict, so be careful with words. There is a strong concern for justice on all sides, and you have a tendency to growl when a purr would suffice.  On the 14th the Sun enters Taurus, increasing status in the workplace.  Eat it up - you love attention. The month ends with a Jupiter/Moon alignment  (May 27th) also in your House of Communication. Be extra nice to everybody you meet that day; especially if someone treats you shitty, no need to propagate the hate.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

The Virgin gets her goddess on this May, especially mid-month, when a Neptune/Moon pairing in your House of Partnership sparks love for those around you.  The heart wants what it wants when your ruling Mercury joins impulsive Uranus in gushy Pisces May 12th.  The 13th also favors heart over head - a Moon/Mercury tryst occurs in your House of  Sex and Transformation. They may call you the Virgin, but this month you are the skilled seductress. The Tauran New Moon (May 15th) brings dreams down to earth. Be careful what you wish for, Virgo. You just might get it.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Libra wins May - there I said it.  Your scales brim with good vibes and planetary harmony this month.  Planets that visit your sign include lucky Jupiter (May 8th) representing a marriage of spiritual value. This can be a literal marriage to another human, or any partnership based on principles. Your ruling Venus increases the harmony on the 17th by pairing with the Moon in Taurus. Art supports emotion, so dress your mood that day - paint on a mustache or shave one off. When Jupiter aligns with the Moon May 27th (also in your constellation) sympathy, generosity and good karma are yours.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

The scorpion reads the room this May, and benefits in the workplace. The month begins with your ruling Planet Mars joining the Moon in your House of Communication. Your usual productivity will be enhanced by emotional intelligence. It turns out feelings are useful in the business world too, not just in your romances, Scorpio. But be strategic. Apply passion constructively, and quit while you’re ahead. Have you lost that loving feeling, scorpion? You’ll get it back on the 27th when lucky Jupiter pairs with the moon in your House of Subconscious. Prepare for a spring in your sting.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

The Archer gets philosophical this May, turning a hazy shade of winter right in the middle of spring. The month begins and ends with two Saturn/Moon alignments in your sign – on the 4th and again on the 31st - raising life’s deeper questions. With your tendency to get heavy, especially regarding religion and ethics, remember to take it easy on yourself and others. When Mars joins the Moon May 6th, also in your sign, don’t get caught up in the feels. Emotions pass like weather. May ends with a lucky Jupiter /Moon alignment (May 27th) in your House of Friendship, so share that famous personality of yours! Everybody loves the archer.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 20)

This month is not about who cuts the paycheck; its about the paycheck, Capricorn, so be strategic in the workplace. Your ruling Saturn aligns twice with the Moon - on the 4th and again on the 31st  - running in the emotional grooves of past experiences and making you grumpy. Check that baggage at the door.  May is about action, so put feelings last to come out first.  A Tauran New Moon (May 15th) lands squarely in your Workplace Sector, rewarding self-restraint. (You will be glad you didn’t send that email.) Hard work pays off in health as well, so expect to feel better. You will be springing around the zodiac like your old self in no time.

Aquarius (January 21 – February 19)

Well aren’t you groovy and springalicious, Water Bearer? It might be the Neptune/Moon pairing in your sign (May 10th) bringing cosmic friendliness. Of course, Neptune is always in your sign - that’s why we call this the Age of Aquarius. So wear your crystals proudly. Also, your ruling planet, Uranus, has two mid-month alignments. The first (May 12th) is with brainy Mercury in your House of Income. This pairing leads to impulsive spending – basically it's a bad day to go to the racetrack, so visit Santa Anita another day. On the 13th Uranus joins the Moon in your Love Sector causing trouble.  Remember, jealousy works the opposite of how you want it to. So don’t let your hurt feelings drive the car. Its just ego stuff, and ego stuff passes.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

The fish is extra psychic this month, Pisces. Your ruling Neptune aligns with the Moon in your Subconscious Sector (May 13th) bringing psychic dreams into the real world. Your ruling planet continues its residency in Aquarius, which is why you are so groovy, love.  Also, Mercury, planet of smarts, hangs out in your sign this month, so you will make clever (if impulsive) decisions on May 12th and 13th. You always were sensitive, Pisces, but this month your intuition will be spot on. The Tauran New Moon brings the good vibes home May 15th, when it lands in your House and Family Sector. This May, love is all around you, friend.

Ophiuchus (November 29 – December 17)

Risks pay off this month for the Snake Bearer, so take some. Headstrong Saturn whispers “Do it, I’ll hold your beer,” twice this month (on the 4th and again on the 31st). Usually this is bad advice, but your rebel heart just completed a coup of sorts, and it’s time to plan the next revolution. So let loose. The Tauran New Moon on the 8th makes reality from dreams.  Mick was wrong; you can always get what you want, at least this month. A Full Moon in your sign (May 29th) brings it all home. Ophiuchus doesn’t play by the rules, kids. And it’s better to ask forgiveness than permission.
