My Favorite Taco ~ Benicio Del Toro

2:10 AM PDT on July 5, 2006

Lares ~ 2909 Pico Blvd. ~ Santa Monica

Benicio del Toro, born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, is not only one of the very finest actors of our generation, he is also a taco lover and total bro. We thank him for spending some taco-time with us recently. Catching up on Abbot Kinney over a few drinks, he told us that his personal favorite taco in Los Angeles comes from "Lares," the authentic, handsome Mexican restaurant on Pico at 29th St. in east Santa Monica. Tell 'em Benicio sent you, while digging into their well-praised carnitas!
