The Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area staff captures mountain lions and puts electronic collars on the to monitor their lives. They have collared three mountain lions and added a fourth one over the weekend, although the total number of lions with collars is three because one lion's collar broke when he battled another lion and lived to tell the story.
