Mister Cartoon Discusses Lowrider Culture with Dr. Denise Sandoval

Dr. Denise M. Sandoval of Cal State Northridge held a seminar on lowrider culture at Cal State Dominquez Hills this week to discuss the history and current state of the lowriding community and culture. Guest speaker Mister Cartoon gave his perspective on how the lowrider community helped him develop his skills as both an artist and a business man. It was a very candid and informative look at a culture with a rich history and promising future. More information on Dr. Sandoval's research is available on the CSUN website, and her seminal essay on lowrider culture is here.
