Here Are Our Favorite Lowriders From Highland Park’s ‘York Boulevard Cruise Night’ On Saturday

[dropcap size=big]O[/dropcap]n Saturday evening, for one night only, Highland Park went back in time to an era before Teslas and million-dollar homes dotted every corner of the trendy northeast L.A. neighborhood. From Avenue 51 to Avenue 57, hundreds of Latino families from the nearby area gathered along York Boulevard and watched an unofficial parade of dozens of lowrider cars cruise back and forth. The event was organized by the Instagram account, @la_cruisenights_carshows and it marked the second year the cruise took place. There were street vendors selling locally designed t-shirts and food vendors selling everything from tacos to teriyaki bowl. The cruise started at 6 PM and fizzled out by midnight.
