Soccer Star Coming to LA?
They say David Beckam is pulling a Pele and will join a US soccer team, in this case the LA Galaxy. Or, it may be a ploy to get a higher salary in Europe. Update: it's official, Beckham will join the Galaxy on June 30.

Epidemic of Lost Body Parts on City Buses
12,000 lost items are waiting to be claimed in Los Angeles' Metropolitan Transportation Authority's lost and found department. Their favorites are a prosthetic leg stolen from its owner who wanted to take a quick nap, a human jawbone lost by a science professor and a suitcase containing a cremated woman's remains. The whole thing sounds like it was cooked up by the crack MTA publicity squad, but it's news you can use.
