—Conservationists tracking the city's four remaining locations of Arthur Whizin's Chili Bowl, a near 90-year-old, chili bowl-shaped example of L.A.'s once flourishing programmatic architecture, are sounding the alarm that an illegal demolition of the building in the West L.A. neighborhood of Sawtelle is imminent, calling upon the public to contact Mike Bonin's office after the councilperson voted against the Neighborhood Council's support to give it landmark status.
