GoGoGo GoTeam!!!

Expectant fans packed the house at El Rey for multi-culti, multi-city The Go Team, who bring cheerleader spunk to dirty -funk anthems. The show was energetic and rocking, with overdoses of sweetness and spunk.

The Grates

A killer set from Brisbane, Australia’s The Grates was pure punk fun with a femme Iggy Pop (minus the cutting and lunacy) in lead singer Patience’s style. The duo of underage blondies, Smoosh also took a set, though their mellow approach was a bad fit for such energetic fare. Danny Masterson seemed to dig it, though.
