Famous Artwork Destroyed ~ MTA LA River

Immortalized in films, television shows and video games, the massive MTA roller near the first street bridge is no longer. Taxpayer funded workers are in the process of sandblasting and painting over what has been called the world's largest piece of graffiti.

The artists who created the piece have been arrested, a consequence they understood when undertaking the massive task of hand painting enormous letters under cover of darkness in a public space. The cost of removing the piece has been estimated at just under $4,000,000.
