Botanica de Amor @ Self Help Graphics

Calling ALL Singles! If you are interested in playing the dating game and are looking for some real hombres from ELA—-stop playing roulette with your love life—get in on this once in a lifetime opportunity to meet a REALLY NICE GUY or two.

You’ve tried it all: online dating, blind dates, and the east-side bar scene —but, you have never made a bid on a bonafide catch like El Random Hero (pictured above), or one of the Bladerunner Boyz, or a fierce filmmaker from Mun2 or A Writer & Founder of his own magazine! Si! All bilingual/All bicultural/All waiting to be your date at La Botanica de Amor this Saturday, February 7, 2009—around 3pm-ish. Eastside blogger Pachuco 3000 will MC this exciting love search and compatibility segment. You need to be in the right place at the right time to meet that special someone, right? Could it be at Self Help Graphics on February 7, at this puro-hombre parade? Making a bid on love is yours for the asking. A date with someone dreamy is yours for the taking and is your fate! Dates come with limo transportation, comida, an ELA cuero, carcahadas y mucho amor. Al Desmadre is sponsoring the meal-deal at Luminarias for El Random’s date, because Al is all about the love, Baby. Bring your alcancía–bid on one of these exciting real men.

This Saturday, February 7, noon to 5pm come to La Botanica de Amor and find that someone special you have been looking for. You’ll have to start off with a limpia para el amor, a sangria punch, poetry for inspiration, some love-sexy music with DJ Toks and love advice from the love crafters and artists. If you need more, there will be tarot card reading, beautiful one-of-a-kind Valentine cards, love potions, gifts for your Valentine, sweets, friends and fun. La Botanica de Amor is back by popular demand—because laughter, love and happiness are prerequisites when you are on the Eastside. Abel Salas, international poet and founder of arts news magazine “Brooklyn & Boyle” has curated a special line-up of love poetic voices, which include notables such as Gloria Alvarez, Carmen Vega, Laura Longoria, Jhovany Quiroz and (of course) Abel Salas. Make a lunch date this Saturday with someone you want to get to know better and bring them to La Botanica de Amor, where the entrance is free, the music is free, the parking is free, the poetry is free and there is a plein air food court where Eastside culinary favorites are cooked on the spot. We welcome you to La Botanica de Amor with loving open arms. At Self Help Graphics and Art, 3802 E. Cesar Chavez Blvd. (upstairs), Los Angeles, CA 90063.
