L.A. Weekly reports that police are doing their worst in an attempt to arrest artists from L.A.'s widespread BDS, which has allegedly painted from L.A. to Vegas, and is said (by authorities) to have left a big mark on South L.A. According to a sheriff's deputy, "[Seventeen] Warrants were served today on suspects in Palmdale, South L.A. and Hawthorne" and 19 were arrested following a six month investigation. Unfortunately, due to the mercurial nature of graffiti art and innumerable variables that include a rotating number of nicknamed, unnamed, and sometimes ghost-written participants, going after a graffiti crew solely based on pieces that could have been created by anyone has us pretty sure the cops are likely arresting and trying people who have little to zero involvement. Still, in another lesson for writers here, as always, keep your friends off of YouTube.
