Skateboarding has been an influence on street fashion since the birth of the Southern California skating lifestyle. Even before the world-famous Z Boys personified aggro west coast style, the original sidewalk surfers were repping brands like Hobie and Vans in Malibu and West LA,  helping to create the next wave of California youth culture– a culture which is now global and responsible for hundreds of brands, including some of today’s most interesting and innovative labels. Skaters in Los Angeles are still at the forefront of street style, from Fairfax to East L.A. to Venice Beach. Photographer Reserve Result presents a look into what’s happening on the streets right now with this series, The Skatorialist.
