You’ve Got Two Weeks Left to Eat The ‘L.A. Taco Burger’ at The Oinkster With Two Tacos In It

[dropcap size=big]O[/dropcap]ne year after it made a splash as a "burger of the month" at The Oinkster in Eagle Rock, the L.A. Taco Burger is back for a second round at the top of the burger joint's limited-edition menu. The L.A. Taco Burger, named after yours truly this website, comes with two full carne asada tacos con todo inside of it.

That's right. Two tacos.

Although at first that might sound, well, oinkish, the burger is executed wonderfully by Chef Andre Guerrero and his Oinkster crew, making for a bonafide extreme-eating success. The tacos fit snugly in the bun and maintain their form over the angus patty, providing multiple satisfying bites along with the house-pickled escabeche and the guac sauce, all the way to the burger's end.

The Oinkster's L.A. Taco Burger first debuted in May 2018. Read writer Javier Cabral's description of the original L.A. Taco Burger here.

Phil Merkow, community manager for the Eagle Rock A-frame restaurant, said the L.A. Taco Burger has been a sales hit for The Oinkster. "It's definitely one of the most popular burgers they've ever done for Burger of the Month," he said.

The Oinkster suggests pairing the L.A. Taco Burger with their special horchata ice cream shake, made with Fosselmans Ice Cream. The limited-edition burger will only be available for the remainder of the May.

"It's nice to bring it back, people were super excited and continue to be — with a small percentage of outrage," Merkow added with a laugh.

Street Vendors Successfully Sue City to Remove Illegal ‘No Vending’ Signs And Won

L.A. will also have to reimburse the street vendors for their past fines relating to this controversial sign. However, this does not include any other fines related to equipment restrictions or lack of permits. This also means that while a vendor can’t be cited for vending in areas like the Hollywood Walk of Fame anymore, they can still get cited for other city regulations.
