Charles Visnic presents this video compilation of the best clips from the LA Monomeet-- a festival of people using the The Monome, an open source hardware controller that allows digital musicians incredible flexibility and control over their beats and loops. The open source factor also allows for hacking and the use of unique external controls such as a Nintendo Power Glove which shows up at the 5:05 mark. Our favorite artists featured were No Sir E and self-sample sax man Anenon. Alfred Darlington AKA Daedalus shows up near the end as well and puts on quite a display. The event was produced by Interface LA: interface-la.tumblr.com
