ANOTHER YEAR OF THE TACO LIFESTYLE STRAIGHT FROM THE STREETS OF LOS ANGELES. STREET FOOD, STREET ART, INTERESTING PEOPLE... THIS YEAR THE THEME SEEMED TO BE PHOTOGRAPHY AND PHOTOGRAPHERS-- WE PUBLISHED MORE ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHY THAN EVER, INTERVIEWED A BUNCH OF OUR FAVORITE PHOTOGRAPHERS, AND GENERALLY REVELED IN BEAUTIFUL IMAGES OF PEOPLE, PLACES, AND TACOS. WE ALSO GOT MULTI MEDIA WITH OUR FIRST VIDEO SERIES (TACO TRUCK CONFESSIONS). OVERALL IT WAS A PRETTY GOOD YEAR.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO AGREED TO BE INTERVIEWED, OR SENT US PHOTOS, MADE ART FOR US, OR SUPPORTED US IN ANY WAY AT ALL.
THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR CONTRIBUTORS WHO MADE THIS HAPPEN, ESPECIALLY ERWIN & DESILU.
HUGEST THANKS OF ALL TO OUR LOYAL READERS, THE ONES THAT CHECK IN EVERY WEEK TO SEE WHAT WE HAVE GOING ON. THIS WAS THE 10th YEAR IN EXISTENCE FOR THIS BLOG AND TO CELEBRATE WE DID A COMPLETE REDESIGN, WHICH WE HOPE YOU LIKE AND APPRECIATE FOR ITS ABILITY TO BETTER SHOW OFF THE REASONS THAT MAKE LIVING IN LOS ANGELES SO AMAZING...
HERE'S TO ANOTHER 10 YEARS IN L.A. WE'RE PLAYING THE LONG GAME NOW AND WE AREN'T GOING TO STOP CELEBRATING THE TACO LIFESTYLE...
The products, with their festive packaging, tropical flavors, and colorful parrot mascot, are relatable and better yet, they taste great, are fast-acting, and strong.
After getting rained out, our new date promises to be our biggest and most fun festival to date. Come out and eat all the tacos, drink all the micheladas, dance to the best DJs in L.A., and support our independent journalism! Of course, L.A. TACO members get in for free. Tickets on sale now.
Plus an Roman chef veteran in a Hollywood apartment, chocolate Cuba Libres, Uzbeki plov with lazer rice, and cochinita melts in a Silver Lake yard. Here are the best things to eat around Los Angeles (and San Juan Capistrano!) this weekend.
