ADICIONAL: La historia comienza después de la muerte del Segundo marido de Bernarda Alba. Una madre extremadamente estricta y ruda, impone a sus cinco hijas que estén de duelo por ocho años. Las hijas luchan en contra de dicho control. Mientras la hija mayor esta comprometida a casarse con Pepe el Romano (el hombre mas guapo del pueblo), la hija menor termina siendo su amante—un secreto que al revelarse traerá trágicas consecuencias.
