Justice Dep’t Will Not Bust Medical Marijuana Clinics ~ Washington, D.C.

eric_holder

In statements made yesterday and last week, Attorney General Eric Holder (pictured) has confirmed that from now on, the Federal Government will not raid medical marijuana clinics or dispensaries in California or other states.

Since 1996 when California legalized medical marijuana, businesses providing services to patients have been under constant threat of raids from the Feds. These raids sometimes ended in jail time, but always involved confiscation of medicine, cash, and goods. Often it meant partial or total closure of the dispensary or clinic.

Today is actually a momentous day for patients and caregivers who can live without fear... at least for now.
