Nik Roybal is a fourth-generation brown Angeleno, transgressive, queer and nonbinary writer, local LGBTQ civic advocate and engaged, community educator tracking the quiet intersections of public oversight, digital privacy, and municipal power across Los Angeles County. Holding an MFA in creative writing from CalArts, they lead initiatives like #flockoffweho, which pushes local governments to uphold civil liberties, privacy, and human rights across municipal “borders”—let trans people thrive!
