Mariela is a first-generation Mexican-American and multimedia journalist who centers her work around Latinidad. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Conflict Resolution from California State University Long Beach and her Master’s in Journalism from the University of Southern California. When she is not writing scripts or conducting interviews, she is testing the newest makeup products on the market and eating asada tacos.
