L.A. Taco’s Rogue 99 Team Katherine Spiers and Tien Nguyen On ‘Good Food’ On KCRW!

Rogue 99 editors Katherine Spiers and Tien Nguyen appeared on Saturday on KCRW's Good Food, explaining how LA Taco's essential restaurant guide for 2018 came about. Great job!

Listen to the whole episode here. The segment is here. (And yes, we are actively looking for a sponsor or partner to print this wonderful list. Maybe in time for Taco Madness 2018? More soon on that.)

Good Food Host Evan Kleiman begins the episode with a fascinating interview with chef David Chang, who recently opened Majordomo in Los Angeles. He discusses his Netflix series Ugly Delicious, and specifically the Tacos episode, guided by LA Taco contributor Gustavo Arellano. Arellano along with LA Times food critic Jonathan Gold take Chang on a wide-ranging tour of our city's great taco landmarks. Definitely check it out! (LA Taco editors Daniel Hernandez and Javier Cabral also make quarter-second flash cameos lol!)

Perhaps stranger is their presence in Germany, where Latinos comprise less than 0.05% of the population. But how did we get here?

Four Places to Eat and Drink Your Way Through Mexican Independence Weekend In L.A. (and Long Beach)

Despite L.A. being the home of the second largest population of Mexicans—that counts Mexican-Americans as well, by the way—after Mexico City, it has never been known to go as hard for actual Mexican Independence Day on September 16th as it does for Cinco de Mayo. But these four places are going all out!
